Document Description
The purpose of this project is to restore ride quality, maintain pavement in good condition and reduce frequency of repairs for the Field Maintenance Crew. Work consists of replacing ac surfacing or placing a 0.10' thick rubberized hot mix asphalt overlay.

Reasons for Exemption
This is a preventative maintenance project that will keep the road in good condition for the safety of the traveling public. The work that will be complete is within the existing Caltrans right of way. With the avoidance and minimization measures in place it is not likely to have adverse effects on the environment. Staging areas will be in established pullouts and proper best management practices will be in place.
