Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0241-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Sacramento county. The project is limited to the removal and replacement of Mather Dam spillway. The existing main spillway is made up of 8 pipes (2 concrete pipes and 6 corrugated metal pipes). The spillway outfall area within Morrison Creek is currently made up of an old concrete apron and concrete rubble. Exposed portions of the creek channel in this location are damaged by scour, and it appears the concrete rubble has been placed within the channel as an attempt to prevent further scour damage. This culvert-style spillway and concrete outfall structure within Morrison Creek will be replaced with a new concrete, broad crested weir outfall structure and a permanent pedestrian/vehicle bridge. The new spillway will be 1.5 feet lower than the existing spillway. The new rectangular spillway channel and weir will be approx. 16 feet wide and 45 feet long.
