Note: Extended Review The project is the approval of a feasibility study/remedial action plan by the DTSC in accordance with California Health and Safety Code, Chp 6.8, Sec 25356.1 et seq., for cleanup of contaminated soils and sediments at Habitat Area 2 for the Zeneca/Former Stauffer Chemical Site. The recommend cleanup alternative in the FS/RAP proposes to excavate and dispose off site approximately 25,400 cy of soil and sediments; import approximately 26,400 cy of clean backfill; in site treatment of sediments containing moderate levels of proprietary pesticides with granular activated carbon; habitat restoration; monitoring; and institutional controls.
