Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-MOO-20877-R6), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, for the Project Applicant, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The proposed Project is limited to the construction of a new spillway approach channel located just south of the existing Grant Lake Reservoir spillway; placement of rip rap along the spillway channel; the replacement of the
existing Arizona crossing with a new bridge consisting of three 14-foot wide by 20-foot long cast-in place concrete box culverts; the removal and replacement of the existing 10-foot wide dirt road to the east of the concrete spillway with a new 20-foot wide dirt road; construction of a new 15-foot wide by 1,600-foot long dirt access road on the west side of the new spillway channel; installation of two new utility power poles (40-50 feet in height); construction of a new 12-foot by 12-foot control building near the spillway; construction of a new 80-foot by 60-foot concrete pad adjacent to the new spillway; construction of an access ramp downstream of the stilling basin (740 feet long, 15 feet high, 16 feet wide); and clearing and grubbing of areas used for staging equipment and to store materials.
