Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The Project includes the construction of the North City Morena Blvd Pump Station that is designed to convey 32 million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater to a 10.8-mile force main to convey wastewater to the North City Water Reclamation Plant. The Project will install five dual stage pumps and includes one standby pump. The new pump station also includes a screening facility, high purity oxygenation system, and large diameter piping for influent and overflows. Construction of the pump station will occur on a parcel that was purchased from the San Diego Humane Society. The parcel had infrastructure on it from the previous owner that is now demolished. Staging for the Project will be on the facility property and in the right-of-way.

The Project is located throughout San Diego County. Majority of the proposed Project occurs within developed land and/or along existing paved streets. A new Pure Water Facility and three pump stations would be located within the City of San Diego. Pipelines would traverse a number of local jurisdictions, including the City of San Diego; the City of Santee; the community of Lakeside and other areas in unincorporated San Diego County; and federal lands within Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. Specifically, the Miramar Reservoir Alternative is within the Poway, La Jolla, and Del Mar U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute quadrangle maps.
