Document Description
The project includes horizontal directional drilling (HDD) at sites on Coyote Creek, Guadalupe River, Canoas Creek ,Los Gatos Creek, Alamitos Creek, and Ross Creek for the purposes of installing fiber-to-the-premises infrastructure. The bore will be1.5 times the pipe diameter. Eight-inch HDPE pipe with Standard Dimension Ratio 9 containing 6 (2-inch HDPE) conduits will be pulled. Each side of the pipe will be connected to a vault placed in a bore pit. To reduce the potential of a frac-out affecting sensitive resources, the entrance and exit points for drilling will be located at least 150 feet from riparian vegetation and depths below the invert of the stream will be 20 feet or greater. Gravel will be used to fill-in the bore pit. The CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0024-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Katerina Filatova/Ericsson, Inc. on behalf of Google Fiber CA, LLC.
