Approval of the proposed 2016 reservoir Re-Operation Agreement between the US Department of the interior - Bureau of Reclamation and Placer County Water agency. The Terms of the 2016 reservoir re-operation agreement would increase the planned releases from PCWA's MFP by a volume of up to 20,000 acre feet over the period of July 15, 2016 through September 30, 2016 to support Ventral Valley Project Operations.
The discretionary action of executing the 2016 Reservoir Re-Operation Agreement is subject to the California Environmental Quality Act. Section 15061 (b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines states that a project is exempt from CEQA if the project activity is covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. Where it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment, the activity is not subject to CEQA. Based on a review of the information gathered, the agency has determined that the project would not have a significant effect on the environment.
