Document Description
The project is limited to activities associated with redirecting storm flows from the Floribunda Avenue drainage system into the Walnut Avenue drainage system, which will be upgraded to adequately carry the flows to an existing outfall at Terrace Creek located immediately upstream of the Walnut Avenue culvert. To upgrade the Walnut Avenue drainage system, the existing 18-inch pipe will be replaced with a 36-inch diameter pipe and will be installed via open trenching in the road shoulder for approximately 150 feet. To connect the Floribunda Avenue drainage system to the Walnut Avenue drainage system, a new 36-inch pipe will be installed via trenching between Floribunda Avenue and Walnut Avenue and connected to the existing pipe along Walnut Avenue. A new outfall will replace the existing outfall on the Southern Bank of Terrace Creek but will be built approximately 18 inches lower on the bank than where the outfall currently exists. The outfall will be enlarged from an 18-inch diameter pipe to a 36-inch diameter pipe. Issuance of a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2015-0305-R3 is pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code, to the Permittee, Town of Hillsborough.
