Document Description
Removal of an existing bridge, installation of a new bridge approximately 12-foot wide and 55-foot long. Installation of retaining walls of approximately 8-foot long and 3-foot high will be constructed to support the new bridge approach. The bank will be laid back behind the existing abutment wall at 2:1 for approximately ten feet and the net five percent slope for another ten feet to the new bridge support. The existing bridge deck will be removed as well as most of the existing bridge abutments. The portion of the abutments that is approximately one foot above the Ordinary High Water Mark will be removed while the lower portion of the abutments will remain in place to allow the creek to gradually adjust to the modified bridge footing. Disturbed areas not underneath the bridge will also be planted with willow cuttings. Five oak trees between 10 and 15 inches diameter at breast height will be removed, and one each valley oak and black oak will be trimmed.
