Document Description
The Department of General Services project includes tenant improvements for the State of California Franchise Tax Board building including interior alterations consisting of removal of partition walls which separate the lobby, reception, interview and copy rooms to create an open space area. Push plates will be installed at doorways as well as installation of a security interconnection.

The Project is a tenant improvement in an existing State Building. CEQA Section 15301 Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment or topographical features involving negligible or not expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination. The project is not in an environmentally sensitive area. The Department of General Service confirms that no exceptions apply which would preclude the use of a Notice of Exemption for this project.
