Document Description
This project would provide trail improvements for accessibility along approximately 0.3 miles of trails, along portions of the existing Coreopsis, Poppy, Hilltop and Coreopsis Connector Trails and the Westward Beach Overlook at Point Dume State Beach. Accessibility improvements are designed to bring the trails in compliance with State Parks accessibility guidelines and associated legal mandates.
The scope of work includes constructing a boardwalk, firm and stable trail surfaces, retaining walls for access to the boardwalk and to reduce further erosion; stair and trail stabilization; installing two accessible parking spaces in the City of Malibu ROW; installing two benches; replacing the existing eye-rod fencing with two rail cable fences; and the installing accessible trail information signs.
