Document Description
The 0.72-acre project site is located in the Civic Center area of San Rafael at 3530 Civic Center Dr. The site is comprised of one parcel, and currently contains one existing building that serves public uses. The proposed project includes removal of the existing structure on site and construction of a new two story fire station building that would replace the current fire service facility. The building would total 9,875 sf, an 1000 sf storage building to be developed at a future date, and a parking lot consisting of 13 spaces, including a van accessible route to the entrance from the parking area and public sidewalk. Two additional spaces would be provided for trailer storage, and three drive through apparatus bays would accommodate department vehicles. The project would include a plaza and access pathway at the entry of the building on civic center dr.
