Document Description
Sutter County is proposing to replace the existing Nicolaus Ave Bridge (No. 18C0074) over a drainage tributary of Coon Creek located in south Sutter County. The Nicolaus Ave Bridge is located east of the rural community of East Nicolaus approximately 0.90 miles west of Pleasant Grove Rd and is approximately 2.3 miles east of SR 70. The existing bridge, originally constructed in 1950, spans a drainage tributary of Coon Creek in an east west direction with the channel flowing in a north to south direction. The bridge has a sufficiency rating of 52.6 and has been designated functionally obsolete per the Caltrans Structure inventory and appraisal report due the narrow bridge width.
