Sutter County, in cooperation with Caltrans, proposes to replace the Larkin Road Bridge (Bridge No. 18C0105) over the South Branch Sutter Butte Canal. The Larkin Road Bridge is a two span 26.0 ft long by 35.8 ft wide continuous reinforced concrete slab bridge supported on reinforced concrete abutments and pier walls. The bridge was constructed in 1925 and widened on both sides in 1950 to its current width. The two lane roadway has an average daily traffic count of 1,160 vehicles with 2 percent trucks and is designated as a rural major collector. The bridge supports a roadway width of approximately 24 ft.
