Document Description
On HWY 101 in Monterey County, Caltrans proposes to seismically retrofit both the northbound and southbound bridge structures in order to improve their stability during a moderate seismic event. In addition, the shoulders of the northbound bridge would be widened and the railing changed to bring those features up to current standards. Temporary construction easements would be required, but the completed project would be entirely within Caltrans ROW.
