Document Description
The proposed project would eliminate sewage overflows affecting groundwater. The grade of the existing collection system is nearly flat and leads to frequent system blockages and surcharging manholes. Pipe materials are vitrified clay and concrete, which are prone to cracks and leakage. The project will consist of installation of new gravity sewers and force mains relocated within the public right of way, relocation and construction of a new pump station, removal of two existing pump stations, valve repair and replacement for the sewage lagoons and perlocation beds, regrading of perlocation beds, and additional sewage lagoon improvements.
