Document Description
Investigate and stabilize a 5'x5' area that is slumping near the Slattington Schoolhouse within Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park for public safety and information gathering. It is known that a steel plate is directly below the ground surface where the soil has slumped. Work will: -Scrap the ground surface for no more than 6'x6 by 1-foot deep to reveal the steel plate; -Lift the steel plate to inspect what is below; -Determine the best approach to stabilize the slumped area; -fill slumped area with decomposed granite or road base; and -Backfill with scraped material to match surrounding grade.
