Document Description
The project consists of leasing new office and living space within an existing 2,464 sf building that is located at 5741 Price Avenue, Building 1026, McClellan Park, 95652, in Sacramento County. The lease would necessitate interior renovations to accommodate a battalion chief, two fire captains, two fire apparatus engineers and ten fire fighters. Currently, staff is occupying a 240 sq. ft. trailer within the business park that does not meet the requirements (guidelines) for an Airtanker Base. Improvements to the interior would include electrical work, partitions/walls, bathroom facilities, kitchen features and appliances, and other interior improvements as necessary to accommodate a fully functional Airtanker Base. External improvements include parking lot improvements and new security gates.

CCR Section 15301, Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations of existing public or private structures, facilities mechanical equipment or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination. This project fall under 15301 (a) Interior or exterior alterations involving such things as interior partitions, plumbing, and electrical conveyances.
