The existing box culvert bridge has several deficiencies, including non-standard width and railing, evidence of scouring, poor condition of paint, and chloride contamination in the deck. When completed the bridge will safely convey the traveling public.

- Class 2 Proposed project does not result in impacts to environmental resources through design, avoidance and best management practices. Upon removal of the three box culverts within Caldwell Creek and the construction of the new bridge, approx. 34 feet of free span will be provided over Caldwell Creek, resulting in increased stream flow capacity and approx. 0.03 acre of additional stream channel habitat.
