Document Description
The California Department of General Services is performing tenant improvements consisting of installation of two "now serving" signs in Secretary of State Suite on the 12th floor of the South tower building and one "now serving sign" on the 2nd floor at the cafeteria. The tenant improvements consist of hard wired installation of three "now serving" signs.

CEQA section 15301 Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination. The project is not in an environmentally sensitive area. The California Department of General Services confirms that no exception apply which would preclude the use of a notice of exemption for this project.
