Document Description
The project is limited to the treatment of 28 stream crossings, as part of a larger sediment reduction project on the Gualala Redwoods Inc. property within the Little Creek Planning Watershed. Project elements include: the installation of critical dips at certain stream crossings to prevent stream diversions, the installation of a new culverts at previously unculverted fill sites to reduce the likelihood of a mass fill failure and episodic sedimentation associated with vehicle crossings, replacement of undersized or damaged culverts, decommissioning of stream crossings no longer needed, rock armoring of fill slopes to prevent erosion, and armoring wet crossings to reduce sediment and improve durability. Issuance of a Lakebed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0100-R3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
