Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control, pursuant to authority granted under Chapter 6.8, Division 20, sections 25323.1 and 25356.1 of the Health and Safety Code, approved a Removal Action Work Plan as submitted in October 2015 for a remediation activity to mitigate a past release of tetrachloroethene, also known as perchloroethylene (PCE), to shallow soil. The remediation activity will consist of continued operation of an existing soil vapor extraction (SVE) system located on the Mr. Best Cleaners site at 2939 East Coast Highway in Newport Beach, California. Mr. Best Cleaners is located within the James Square development.
