Document Description
The Site was developed in 1941 by Wester Gear Corporation (later named Westech Gear) as a manufacturing plant for naval vessel machinery and parts. In the 1990's, the Site was leased to Philadelphia Gear to manufacture gears for water power lants and turbine engines. Multiple buildings previously located on the Site were used as manufacturing, assembly, storage, and offices. All Site buildings were demolished and removed in 2012. Removal of the remaining concrete pads and footings was completed in January 2016. Future long-term use od the Site is expected to remain industrial.
