Reasons for Exemption
This permit modification will not result in an environmental effect because it does not result in a change in waste management practices or standards, and new waste streams will not be generated due to the permit modification. All procedures for managing, collecting, storing, and transporting waste generated from execution of the Closure Work Plan will remain the same. Chemtrade West will manage waste in accordance with the Closure Work Plan. The project will not result in significant changes to any of the physical conditions within the area affected by the project, including, land, air, water minerals, flora, fauna, ambient noise, and object of historic or aesthetic significance. Therefore, DTSC finds with certainty that there is no possibility that the activities in question will result in a significant environmental effect.
