Document Description
Conduct geotechnical investigations at the site of the damaged pier in Gaviota State Park to identify soil conditions and guide design and reconstruction efforts. A rolling drill rig will be placed on the pier deck and an 8" mud rotary drill bit will be lowered into the water to bring soil samples up to the surface for analysis. Soil samples will be collected in a holding tank.
