The University of California, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (UC LBNL) proposes to install and operate a next generation high-performance computing ("supercomputing") system in the existing Wang Hall at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory main hill site. Operation of the Nersc-9 high-performance computing system would help support the continually increasing needs of scientists for complex simulation and data analysis. Along with the new supercomputer, additional power, cooling, and distribution equipment would be installed to augment existing building systems.
