SWRCB is the responsible agency. The SWRCB's safe drinking water state revolving fund program is providing funds for the project. The Apple Valley Heights County Water District proposes to carry out the pre-construction planning, design, and information collection in support of a possible future water storage facility and transmission pipeline improvements.

Reasons for Exemption
This project consists of basic data collection, research and resource evaluation activities which do not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. The project includes temporary excavations at each site for geological/geotechnical examination. Pursuant to CDFW Code, section 711,4(d)(1), the CDFW environmental review filing fees do not apply.
