Document Description
Note: Addendum #1 The project is a treatment system upgrade and capacity expansion of the District's wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). The IS/MND for the project was adopted by the District's Board of Directors on June 9th, 2016. The WWTP is on 13.47 acres, located at 300 Smith Ranch Road, San Rafael CA 94903, in the Las Gallinas Valley between the cities of San Rafael and Novato in Northern CA, as shown in Figure 1 - Vicinity Map and Figure 2 - Project Site. The current WWTP facility serves approx. 30,000 customers in northern San Rafael. The district currently provides secondary treatment of wastewater from mainly commercial and domestic sources within its service area. The project includes upgrades to the secondary treatment process and facilities at the WWTP, and includes replacement of the force main that heads SW along the WWTP access road. The project will also expand the treatment capacity of the WWTP from 9 million gallons per day (MGD) to 18 MGD in order to handle peak wet weather daily flows. *SEE NOD FOR FULL DETAILS
