The project will replace 433 old-generation 1980's and 1990s-era turbines with up to 12 new approx. 2.5 to 3.0 MW turbines with a combined maximum rated output capacity of approx. 36 MW on 8 non-contiguous parcels over approx. 875 acres (in three groups about 1 to 2 miles apart) located in the vicinity of the Midway Road interchange with I-580, in the Altamont Pass Wind Resource Area of Alameda County.
