Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2015-0199-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the county of Santa Barbara Public Works Department represented by Morgan Jones.
The purpose of this project is to determine the stability and composition of the substrate within the Santa Maria River in preparation for a future project to remove and replace the current Bonita School Road Bridge over the Santa Maria River. The scope of work for this project involves the following exploratory activities: hollow stem auger boring, cone penetration testing, and multi-channel analysis of surface wave surroundings, trenching, and test-pile driving. Exploratory activities will take place throughout 11.5 acres of CDFW jurisdiction. All impacts are temporary; all holes will be backfilled with local material surrounding each hole. Vegetation that cannot be avoided will be replaced in kind on site.
