Reasons for Exemption
The project does not have the possibility of resulting in a significant environmental effect. The light poles may be visible from residences in close proximity; however, practice field lights are common at high schools. The proposed lights will not create substantial new light or glare (spillage) which would adversely affect day or night time views in the area. Thus, the project would not result in a substantial adverse change to the visual character or quality of the campus surroundings. Project is not located in an area included on the Cortese List and would not cause a substantial adverse change in the significance of a historical resource.
