IRWD, as a landowner in DRWD, proposed to recover up to 40,000 acre-feet of non-SWP water from IRWD's groundwater banking facilities located in Kern County (Strand Ranch Integrated Banking Project or Stockdale Integrated Banking Project) for delivery to DRWD, in exchange for an equal amount of DRWD's SWP Table A Water to be returned by DRWD to IRWD through the Meropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWDSC). There is no construciton, land use change, or modification to existing facilities; no new lands will be brought into production as a result of the requested exchange.
