Document Description
The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) proposes to have a contractor modify the discharge point of the blow-off at Suth Bay Aqueduct MP 34.23 to increase de-watering flow rates and therefore decrease de-watering times. The site will be accessed off of Starlite Road along an existing access road. Some small trees may need to be limbed in order to allow heavy equipment to pass along teh road. The work will include uncovering the buried existing six-inch diameter disharge pipe wiht the use of an excavator. Approximately two cubic yards of soil will be excavated to a depth of approximately 3 feet. Spoils wil be placed adjacent to the excavation and used to backfill the trench one the pipe is removed.
