Five or six trenches will be excavated to find empirical evidence of the footprints of the Machado Smith Structures in anticipation of their future reconstruction, which will require further environmental analysis under CEQA. This project would also provide CSP's consultant a right-of-entry permit to conduct archaeological testing.
