After reviewing the project and its setting, the Environmental Coordinator for the County of Tuolumne has determined that the project is categorically exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15311 of the State CEQA Guidelines because the proposed project consists of signage placed on a commercially developed site that is accessory to an existing shopping center. All necessary services are in place and the surrounding area is not environmentally sensitive.
