Document Description
Caltrans proposes to overlap 0.10 foot of Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA) (Gap Graded) on SR 49 and SR 108. The scope of work will include cold planning of the highway surface prior to the overlay placement of three feet of shoulder backing at the edge of the pavement, replacement of the AC Dike, replacement of rumble strips, removal of existing striping, and adjustment to all utilities. The purpose of the project is to repair areas of failing or damaged pavement and to extend the service life of SR 49 and SR 108. The need for the project is to prevent further deterioration of the paved highway surface.
