Document Description
The University of California proposes to purchase and operate a landfill gas-to-energy facility that will harvest landfill gas that would otherwise be flared and wasted. The facility will be located outside of Shreveport, LA, in Caddo Parish at the Woolworth Road Landfill. The Project will rely on preexisting elements of the landfill gas collection system, and the Project will be located almost entirely wihtin the fooprint of a former landfill gas processing facility. The Project will require minor construction to allow for the necessary landfill gas processing and to connect the existing system to a regional gas pipeline. The construction and operation of the project is subject to Louisiana law, which requires environmental impact analysis if projects may constitute a significant source of pollution.
