Document Description
The Santa Barbara campus proposes to reconstruct the track surface and field event areas bringing them into conformity with competition standards (see attached location map). Compartment boxes for timing equipment etc. will be installed and a concrete walkway and fence will be constructed around the exterior of the track. A new LED lighting system will be installed. Areas of the existing infield area will be restored with topsoil and seeding. Drainage will be improved with the installation of slot drains and swales, and irrigation adjusted to conform to the new configuration. A new improved root barrier will also be installed to protect the facility from root intrusion from an adjacent eucalyptus windrow once construction is completed.
