Document Description
The proposed project would involve the demolition of approximately 56,561 asf of existing buildings and facilities at Cypress College. Approximately 138,000 asf of new academic, auxiliary, and recreational uses would be constructed, which also includes the increase in square footage due to the expansion of existing buildings. Approximately 1,100 net parking spaces would be created from construction of a new parking structure and reconfiguration of existing lots. Parking lots 1 through 9 will be reconfigured with 90 degree parking stalls to increase efficiency; entries/exits for all parking lots will be reconfigured to improve visibility and traffic low; pedestrian sidewalks, crosswalks, and connections for pedestrian safety will be incorporated; clear and directional wayfinding signage will be provided; and photvoltaic canopy covered parking lots will be included.
