Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0299-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of Sunnyvale.
The Project consists of a bridge replacement and widening and rising to accommodate 100-year flows in Calabazas Creek. The existing bridge is 113 feet long and 32 feet wide. The replacement bridge is 125 feet long and 52 feet wide. The footprint of the piers within the wetted portion of the creek will increase by 12 sq. ft. Calabazas Creek will be dewatered for 12 to 16 weeks. This will be done by installing two cofferdams along the creek, upstream and downstream of the project area. A culvert pipe will be installed between the two cofferdams to convey flows through the Project site. The Calabazas Creek Trail and maintenance road will be relocated through excavation and filling, including reconstruction of earthen retaining walls located near the bridge abutments.
