Document Description
To determine if the use of interlocked, soil-filled, non-woven, geo-textile bags with vegetation interspaced among the bags is a viable alternative to using riprap at an erosion site on a river bank or a levee. This project will test use of this system by repairing a 210 foot long erosion site on the east side of Decker Island on an 8 foot high bank, half (110 ft) with the geo-textile bags and the other 100 ft with vegetated rip rap.
