The proposed project involves: 1) the Demonstration Recharge Extraction and Aquifer Management (DREAM) Project, which is a one-time, short term pilot conjunctive use groundwater replenishment project involving up to 1,000 acre-feet of water, and 2) North San Joaquin Water Conservation District (NSJWCD) South System surface water distribution facility improvements. The purpose of the project is to further the use of available surface water for irrigation in lieu of groundwater withdrawal, which is the predominant irrigation source in the project area.
