Document Description
Demolition of an existing 1-story, 10,765 sf classroom and convent building, and the construction, use and maintenance of a new public charter elementary school composed of a 2-story 17,992 sf classroom and administration building, a 1,000 sf covered outdoor lunch area, an outdoor play area, a 20-space on-site parking lot and a monument sign and wall signs identifying the public charter school. The school will serve 432 students in grades K-5 on a 0.82 acre (35,680 sf) site in the C2-1-O zone and the RD2-1-O zone. Vehicular ingress and egress will be from Venice Blvd. onto a drop-off/pick up area. The school will operate M-F, 7am-6pm, with staggered start times; learning activities 2 times a month on Saturdays 8 am-noon for 50% of student population; and summer school 3-4 weeks in July for 25% of school population.
