Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2015-0105-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Sam Peracca. The project is limited to regrading and recontouring a section of lakeshore located at 166 Peninsula Drive on Lake Almanor to eliminate a small impounded area of stagnant water remaining on the lake shore following receding lake levels. The area repeatedly traps water that becomes stagnant, is contaminated with waterfowl feces and poses a potential public nuisance by proving an unchecked area for mosquito breeding. The area is to be regraded to provide a uniform slope by regarding the surrounding lake shore after lake levels have receded and placing lake graded lake sediments in the depression area to fill it and bring it up to the same grade as the surrounding shore. The overall project size should not exceed approximately 1 acre.
