A 36" diameter reinforced concrete pipeline will be installed across the Kings River channel and through the existing 6-7 foot high levees at a location 1 mile downstream of the Jackson Avenue bridge in Kings County to simplify and improve the landowner's current irrigation operations.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt because it is for agricultural purposes, will involve only minor trenching and backfilling, the land surface within the dry river channel will only be temporarily impacted and will be restored to the pre-construction conditions with negligible, i.e. no permanent effects on the environment. CDFW submitted a letter stating the work will not adversely affect existing fish and wildlife resources.
