Document Description
In 2015, there were eight traffic fatalities in the City, seven of which occurred on Beach Boulevard. A number of those traffic fatalities on Beach Boulevard occurred when pedestrains crossed the roadway outside of a controlled intersection. The City Council review a variety of means to increase pedestrian safety along Beach Boulevard and directed staff to draft an ordinance that would prohibit these mid -block crossings.
