Document Description
The Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains is requesting a Right-of-Entry permit to install and monitor an instream pass-over antenna system in lower Malibu Creek in order to obtain spatial information on tagged anadromous steelhead fish utilizing the stream channel. The system will build upon the infrastructure of an existing permanent solar-powered water quality monitoring station. Additional solar panels, a battery strong box and reader box will be co-located with the existing pole. The previous trench alignment will be used to connect cable to the instream antenna, which consist of two loops of copper cable/cords secured to the creek substrate with 10-20 embedded soil anchors and submersible tuners. Pedestrian access for routine maintenance and data downloading on a monthly basis and following storm events will be required.
