Document Description
Install garden in an accessible area at Point Sur State Historic Park to demonstrate and interpret an historic garden to park visitors. Work will:
- Install two wood 4' x 15' x 2' raised bed gardens on existing level surface.
- In the beds, plant historically appropriate vegetables and flowers approved by the Environmental Scientist, and
- Install 4' wide accessible decomposed granite pathways around the beds.

Project consists of construction of minor structures accessory to existing facilities, the minor alteration of existing structures involving no expansion beyond current use and is included as "modifications of existing facilities for access for people with disabilities" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR §15300.4, and the restoration of historic resources in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer.
