Document Description
Construct a new Public Safety Communications Network Operations Center (NOC) at the Office of Emergency Services' (OES) headquarters complex in the Rancho Cordova area. The project includes construction of a new microwave path and a 120-foot communications tower next to the headquarters complex. OES oversees the operation of the state's microwave network throught the NOC, presently in Sacramento. The existing NOC has been identified as seismically unsafe. The NOC will relocate to OES headquarters to diversify the single point of failure which will ensure the critical microwave routes remain fully functional in times of need.
