Document Description
The project is limited to replacement of the existing three span 56-foot long by 17.7 foot wide timber bridge at Inwood Road over South Fork Bear Creek with a new single span 73-foot long by 23.54-foot wide cast-in-place, concrete box girder bridge. The existing bridge will be demolished and removed for construction of the new bridge. The road will be closed, with no traffic detour provided. Temporary instream work includes placement of two-24" culverts and clean gravel to provide a temporary roadway for construction access and a temporary pad to place the falsework. A seasonal diversion will likely be needed to dewater the instream worksite. Additional work includes rock slope protection using 1/4 ton rip-rap (145 cubic yards total) on each side of the stream channel to protect the abutments.
